Pencils for Peace Needs List

School Supplies

• Pencils and Pens
• Pads of paper (small pads the size of steno pads or slightly smaller) We want every student to have pen and paper
• Small cheap backpacks (nice to have but not required.)  We have given away a few and load with a couple of pads of paper and pens)
• If you just sent pens and paper, that would be great.

Hygiene Kits

• Soap (most of the medical problems we see are caused by being dirty but dirty water doesn't help either)
• Shampoo
• Toothbrushes
• Small plastic wash basins

Medical

• Band-Aids
• Small gauze pads (2x2) and medical tape

Other

• Blankets (simple, cheap)
• Sweaters ("winter" is fast approaching)
• Soccer balls/volleyballs - If you send soccer or volley balls, some cheap pumps are also helpful since we get them deflated
• Rubber balls or tennis balls

Again, new is not required. We are giving these to desperately poor people and they are thrilled to get whatever they can.

Please stay away from religious messages and all other shirts that would be banned in most high schools.
